Trade-in

Pick your used vehicle in the federal vPIC catalog. Optionally use SteadyAPI AutoHub for a richer VIN trim decode and a trade-in / depreciation figure once AutoHub is enabled for your API key in the Steady dashboard (in addition to the free AssetDropper depreciation call or the offline estimate). Add payoff if you still owe on the trade, and send the numbers to the lease calculator.

AutoHub (SteadyAPI) needs your Steady account to have access to the AutoHub product for that key—including free keys, which may still have to be linked or activated in your Steady dashboard (plans / subscriptions). If the API says “no active subscription,” that is Steady’s wording for product access (not only “paid” plans). Meanwhile use Trim from VIN (federal vPIC) and Fetch from depreciation API or Offline estimate. This page uses the correct base /v1/vehicles/..., plus apikey and Authorization: Bearer.

Model year of your trade-in. Where: door sticker, registration card, insurance declarations page, or appraisal.
Vehicle make. Where: registration “make” field, window sticker, or title.
Model name for that year/make. Where: sticker model line, DMV registration, or listing title.
Trim / package / equipment group. Where: Monroney trim line, dealer window sticker, or Trim from VIN / AutoHub VIN here.

Full VIN. Where: driver door jamb label, bottom of windshield (driver side), insurance card, or payoff letter.
Optional ZIP for your records only. Where: home ZIP or dealer ZIP — does not change estimates on this page.
Vehicle category for our offline/API curves. Where: pick the closest match — not always printed on paperwork.
Original MSRP or new-car price when that model year was sold. Where: old window sticker if saved, Monroney photo, manufacturer build sheet, or published new-car prices for that year.

Odometer miles now. Where: dashboard reading when appraised; appraisal sheet or listing mileage.
Condition bucket for the offline bump. Where: compare to appraisal wording (clean / average / rough) or use your judgment.

Trade value to carry into the lease worksheet. Where: copy from Fetch / AutoHub / Offline estimate above, dealer written offer, or third-party guide printout.
Amount still owed to your lender. Where: lender payoff quote (good-through date), loan portal payoff button, or recent statement — confirm before signing.
